About Moose & Mac

The farm is technically run by Mac, but Moose is the boss. She’s also a dog. We moved back to Inverness in 2022 with the help of the best realtor (Ilona Kazmer). 2026 will be our first full year as a flower farm, but we’ve been growing flowers for years. When we first moved back, we planted a pumpkin patch (we have a favorite family tradition where we pick up in Wisconsin). Our patch was fine, but not great. The next year we planted flowers to attract pollinators to help pollinate the pumpkins. The flowers grew super well, were ready in less than 90 days, and produced more blooms with each cut (Zinnia/Sunflowers)…which was way better than waiting 120 days for pumpkins to grow just to have a squirrel eat your favorite one the night before you were set to pick it (yes, we’re still bitter about that). Back to flowers ==> we had so much fun giving all the flowers away to friends and family that we decided flowers should be our main focus. 2025 was a little sketchy for us, but we started the business. 2026 will be a learning year - we’re still in the early stages of figuring out how to grow and everything. We should have over 20 different kinds of flowers this year vs only a handful before. Follow us on TikTok (@moose.and.macs.fl) for what’s happening on the farm. We look forward to sharing our blooms with you!
